Web Standards Compliance

This site has been validated to the XHTML and CSS web standards as recommended by the WWW Consortium. Almost every page validates to the recommendations for XHTML 1.0 Transitional requirements. The exceptions are the code fragments included from third parties to provide:

(i) the XPSF music player components on the Home (Index) page, - provided from the SourceForge free software site http://sourceforge.net/; - by removing the 'embed' tag, this is now valid XHTML.

(ii) the Panda software information panels provided by Panda on this Help page to give information about virus threats and Panda products http://www.pandasoftware.com/. - some components use the 'embed' tag only.

The XHTML code and the CSS style sheets have been validated using the W3C software tools listed below:

W3CQAMarkup Validation Service (v0.7.4) http://validator.w3.org/

W3C CSS Validation Service http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

Pages conforming to the recommendations have the W3C symbols in the footer thus:

WEB SECURITY

The internet is a great place to research, explore new sites and communicate via e-mails and groups, etc.  However, there are malicious marketing companies and individual hackers that can create havoc with your pleasure and disrupt your computer.  This may be anything from a simple  market research tool gathering a list of which sites you visit and reporting it, an unwanted pop-up or a virus that causes damage to your computer.  So, please take care out there.  As far as we know, this site is safe, but please take your own precautions.  We use Norton Anitvirus, Norton Internet Security, and PC Tools Spydoctor, but check out what the internet says.  Here are some useful links:

To read RSS/XML newsfeeds, you will require an RSS news aggregator.  This can be some standalone software or an add-in to a web browser.  I use Firefox web browser and the Sage add-in for Firefox.  This allows you to add RSS feeds from web pages visited (e.g. the Newsfeed page on Tai4Freedom, BBC, Washington Post) using the 'find RSS feeds on this page' feature.  Subsequently, click on the newsfeed link in Sage to see the news headlines displayed by the browser; clicking on a headline takes you to that news item.  The instructions given by Firefox and Sage should be enough to help you through download and installation.  If all else fails, contact us at webmaster@tai4freedom.info.

Also, for browsers that do support iframes, if you use the Tai4freedom link to access the guestbook, the link at the bottom of the SmartGB guestbook [Back to WhiteWolfInnovations website] loads the Home page inside the frame, resulting in a 'frame-hell' loop.  Please use the interactive buttons at the top of the Tai4Freedom page and not the link provided by the guestbook.
